Dressed to the nines: Eschelon restaurants strut their stuff
Lindsey Cates, event coordinator with Eschelon Experiences, worked closely with the NACE board and other meeting sponsors to create a memorable experience for guests, showcasing Zinda as a versatile private event venue.
The event began with cocktails in the mezzanine. Guests were treated to a Zinda Spritzer, a combination of Lychee juice and champagne as well as some delicious passed hors d’oeuvres.
After the cocktail hour, guests made their way to the main room to enjoy a family style dinner of a House Salad, Butter Chicken, Sichuan Beef, and Vegetable Lo Mein. Brussels Sprouts, BBQ Green Beans and White Rice were also served.
During the meal, speakers Jennifer Buenviaje of Makeup for Your Day and Ashley Dutch of ADG Fashion Styling gave presentations about impressionable personal branding. Guests were granted good fortune in the form of cookies at the end of the meal.
Leigh Pearce Weddings set a beautiful table with gorgeous green patterned linens and classic golden silverware donated from Party Reflections. The asian-inspired menus printed on vellum were a fine touch. Florals were provided by North Raleigh Florist and consisted of bamboo, driftwood and beautiful succulents.

Basan hosts International Society of Event Specialist
A few weeks later, on Tuesday, August 25th, Basan: Bull City Sushi, also part of the Eschelon family, hosted an ISES (International Society of Event Specialists) social in their private dining room. Roughly 65 ISES members attended the event.
The room was set with cocktail tables, a private bar and a buffet line. Guests enjoyed a selection of pinot noir, chardonnay, and bottled beers while helping themselves to a buffet of Basan specialties including karaage, gyoza, and boats of specialty sushi rolls.
Guests played a few icebreaker games and mingled with fellow event industry professionals throughout the night.
